Random and spontaneous acts of kindness are never forgotten.

The kind and generous acts that my friends have given to me throughout the years stand out as Technicolor slides in my memory bank.

I will never forget the many wonderful gifts of spirit and self that have come my way when I was going through troubled times and when I am reminded of some of them I quickly think of the hospital visits, the long telephone calls and face to face chats, the home cooked meals, and especially the watching of my son when he was a child.

Me and My Son Lately, I’ve been feeling as though I forgot to do something and I keep trying to pinpoint what it is. The other day I was driving around doing errands, letting my mind wander and I think I finally figured it out. This is the first time in 16 years that I am not helping my son get ready for school. For the past week or so I have been happily reading the Facebook postings of friends writing about their children’s graduations from college.  It’s an exciting time for all of my friends and their children and I congratulate all on reaching Diploma Day! Now this weekend it’s my turn and I really can’t believe it.  It’s feels as though life is on fast forward and I intend to hang on and enjoy the ride.
