And the stockings were hung by the chimney with care;  In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there. . .”From “Twas The Night Before Christmas” By Clement Clarke Moore These  are our sentimental Christmas stockings, hung on our fireplace every year, in hopes that Santa Claus will think we have been good and fill them with lots of treats. Happy Birthday America! Today we celebrate Freedom, Democracy and Liberty all wrapped up and delivered in the most patriotic manner possible: parades, dressing up in red, white and blue, cookouts and fireworks!  Isn’t that what makes America great? Hopefully, you don’t have to work today and you can relax and enjoy the company of family and friends on this holiday marking the signing of the Declaration of Independence that formally announced the colonies’ break from British rule. Today we also give our heartfelt thanks to our U.S. armed forces and their families who protect and die for our freedoms.  Thank… Read More

The classy and world famous Rockettes Are you watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade yet?  To me, it’s not truly Thanksgiving until I watch The Rockettes perform their incredibly precise dance numbers and their infamous kickline.  Then, of course, there are the numerous marching bands, celebrities lip syncing popular tunes and the huge balloon animals. Maybe you’re peeling potatoes or putting the turkey in the oven.  Whatever you are doing and wherever you are, I hope your day is full of great food, family and friends! Today I want to send a big thank you to all of… Read More
