Fresh air is necessary.  It delivers oxygen and new thoughts to our souls and helps us begin again.

It’s that feeling that you get when you have been working inside for awhile and then you go outside, take a really deep breath and feel renewed.

Yes.  I think I can go on.

Fresh air.  Open the windows and let old frustrations escape and fly away while welcoming the new fresh spring air.

We need it for our well being to grow and thrive.

Fresh air gives us strength and resolve to stay on track.

I came upon this uplifting … Read More

Take some time for quiet thought today. Your inner person deserves it! When you get free from certain fixed concepts of the way the world is, you find it is far more subtle, and far more miraculous than you thought it was.                            ~ Alan Watts… Read More

Dream A Little Dream

Here is something to think about ~ You have to speak Your dream out loud.                ~ Kelly Corrigan To me the importance of this beautiful powerful thought is that when you speak your dream out loud, you start to make it real.  It’s the first step in owning your dream and part of owning it is making the dream and all of its possibilities yours so that it can become real. By talking about your dream out loud, you give your dream a place in your life and it becomes a real part of your life, instead of just a… Read More

I’m In Today

A friend from a support group sent me a wonderful short poem (which I am sharing below) reminding me about the priority of today. On one level, I suppose you could say it’s about managing your time but on another level, I think it’s about figuring out what’s important to you and staying focused on the things you want to pursue or accomplish and the people in your life that you really want to hang out with. That can be a tall order when you have lots of responsibilities from daily life vying for your attention but I find that… Read More

I took a road trip to Richmond, Virginia this past Saturday to visit my son and his girlfriend and we spent part of the day leisurely strolling the grounds of a breathtaking place called Maymont. I knew nothing about Maymont but was happy to go along and discover more about this estate and 100 acre park given to the city of Richmond in 1925 by James Henry and Sallie May Dooley.  As we walked through the nature center and then went out its back doors, rolling hills of green and rows of small rose bushes and manicured gardens greeted us. … Read More

Seamus Heaney

Seamus Heaney, a celebrated and grand Irish poet who won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1995, sadly died yesterday in a hospital in Dublin at the age of 74. Irish Poet And Nobel Laureate Seamus Heaney To say that Heaney had a way with words is an understatement.  His powerful verse transported readers around the world to Ireland and sometimes to its rural landscape and the grind of its daily responsibilities.  To me, his phrasing always felt magical and lyrical no matter what subject he addressed. As a tribute to Heaney’s great talents, here is Digging, one of my… Read More
