inspiration

It’s winter here in my part of the world and that means weather has continued to be dreary and cold.  It’s also the middle of the week and I’m looking for inspiration to give me a boost and I can’t think of a better person to do that than the fabulous Brene Brown!

If you don’t know Brene Brown, she is an author, mother, wife and also a Ph.D. research professor at the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work.  If you get a chance check out her TED talk.  It blew me away!

Brene Brown has an amazing way of looking at her life and in turn the way we all deal with the idea of being vulnerable to the times when life makes us feel uncomfortable, confused and hurt.  But I love her “all in” attitude and perhaps to you will too!

Here’s something to think about from Brene Brown’s New York Times bestseller, Daring Greatly:

Perfect and bulletproof are seductive, but they don’t exist in the human experience.  We must walk into the arena, whatever it may be — a new relationship, an important meeting, our creative process, or a difficult family conversation — with courage and the willingness to engage.  Rather than sitting on the sidelines and hurling judgement and advice, we must dare to show up and let ourselves be seen. This is vulnerability.  This is daring greatly.”
