Eva Cassidy Singing At Washington, D.C.’s jazz club, Blues Alley

Good Morning Friends!

If your weekend was as busy as mine, then I bet you are ready to go ever so gently into this Monday by listening to some healing music.

Songbird is a popular song recorded and written by Christine McVie.  You may know it from Fleetwood Mac’s infamous platinum awarding winning album Rumours.

This beautiful song was brought back to me when The Washington Post ran a story about her last week and then a good friend of mine posted Eva’s cover of Songbird on her Facebook page and I fell in love with the song once again.

This version of Songbird is covered by Eva Cassidy, a local Washington, DC talent, who continues to be appreciated for her unique singing talent many years after her sad death at the young age of 33.

There is something very soothing and comforting about this song and I hope it helps to lift your spirits today.

We all need to feel treasured and I think this song feels like a big dose of encouragement, almost like a hug from a good friend.

Please listen to Songbird here and enjoy Eva’s powerful and gorgeous voice.
